Entain is one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming groups. Here, I led the ideation and development of motion design across Poker and Slots UX, spanning both in-game experiences and lobby environments. I used motion not only to enhance engagement, but to support UX, player feedback, and overall usability.
Here are several projects of how I have used interaction design to support the client

The problem
The challenge is to create animating items on screen where the parameters extend beyond placement and positioning, into time, trajectory and inertia. Developing and implementing this in a UX space was technically complex and required hands-on collaboration with developers.
The Solution
I defined start and end parameters and defined a system on Figma to help translate speed, rotation and positional indices easily. The result was defined interaction design which used the screen as a full canvas for exploration.

Poker Spins
The problem
Most poker clients use slots machines to present this mechanic. We wanted to position ourselves away from this, but also present the other multiplier figures to increase anticipation of winning a large prize pool
The Solution
Using the facets of a hexagon you can see adjacent multiplier figures while keeping the winning facet highlighted and in view. The table colour was configured to correspond with winning prize pool. Adding a unique colour scheme each time you play.
Strategize ways of presenting a spins mechanic without relying on generic or typical representations

Spins Overdrive
The problem
Driving players to site in a fast moving gaming industry means that we have to continually improve and innovate on products. Overdrive is an adaptation of an already popular game mode. Instead of a random multiplier, it is based on a crash game style of gameplay where a multiplier increases exponentially reaching a prize-pool for the game.
The Solution
I led the development of the idea to use a car themed device to display the multiplier that counts up exponentially to reveal a prize pool, using a speedometer to provide the anticipation. Released across different labels, the modern HUD like graphics can be tailored and colourised for the various brands. Optimising this for mobile and web meant I had to think cleverly about layering, asset separation and delivery, while working closely with developers to define animation against functionality.

Poker Throwables
The problem
The challenge is to create animating items on screen with personality and 'bounce'. Developing and implementing this in a UX space was technically complex and required hands-on collaboration with developers.
The Solution:
I defined different states, a hover state where you choose a player to interact with, a selection state highlighting the player to target, and then the throw animates from start and end players personalised to each throw.
Using the screen as a canvas for animation, I defined start and end parameters and defined a system on Figma to help translate speed, rotation and positional points easily. The result was experimental, each throw was personalised and used the whole screen for throws to 'fall' and 'bounce' off.

The facet is square, and then transitions towards the top of table as the selected prize pool. The top bar then animates down from top of screen.
