I chose the ball as a visual metaphor for going under anaesthesia, the ball is lighter than gravity on earth - aiming to make it resemble the gravity of the moon. I aimed for this animation to feel floaty and hypnotic, without being distracting to tackle this complex and possibly scary issue.

The basic shapes and block colours are chosen to resonate with with what children may encounter - like playing with toy blocks, or learning shapes in school.
